EXPERIENCING the Tarot 8 OF EMOTIONS

The eclipse threw out its darkest rays and it blocked the blinding lights of illusion. It blocked the strange sensation of being dulled and numbed. It stopped the false happy. It cast everything with a sheen of honest magick and she saw it all for what it really was. Oh, how often she has stayed when she didn’t want to! How often she has done so much – for them – and never for herself. She realized how far out of shape she had twisted and changed, and just how far off course she really was, and just how far off course she really was. It was heartbreaking… disappointing… to realize that she allowed herself to go this far. But now, in the gentle lifting of the spell, she could see everything in its lucidity. Like a switch had been flipped, she dropped it all. All the baggage. All the lifetimes. All the tethers. All the broken dreams. She cut the cords and for the first time in her life she chose herself. She let go, and she took that first step bravely, uncertainly, yet strangely hopeful that she could begin anew.

PATHWORKING VISUALIZATION

Imagine yourself with bags that you don’t need. Notice their pain, heaviness and outgrown size. Drop them and walk lightly in a new direction.

CREATIVE PROMPT

Grab some paper bags and rethink your baggage. What colour is it? What lessons are inside of those bags? Write those lessons down and decide to keep the wisdom, while turning the heavy baggage into something else altogether. Let it go and burn it, turn it into art, create poetry, or something beautiful.
