The Muse looks down at the challenges and the rivalry below. The pushing and the pulling. The comparisons. The not-enoughs. Sometimes she sees rivalry that hurts, and sometimes she witnesses rivalry that seeds goals and dreams. She sees its many forms, and she hopes to help all of us to see the positive and negative effects that competition can have on our lives. She illuminates opportunities to work together, and she shares ways that we can engage in friendly competition so that it serves as a catalyst for our successes, rather than a road map to our losses. So she gifts us mirrors. Mirrors to see the things that are similar, and to see those that are dissimilar. She gifts us mirrors to look at the way we show up and compete. Some of us push our ideas, some push forward our feelings, others compete using their charm, some with depth of conversation, some with sexuality – and these mirrors are meant to help us discern and distinguish the types of competition that make us better from that which make us worse. These mirrors help us to see the many faces of our own internal struggle to find category, rank and place, and they allow us to better understand ourselves based on the world around us. But most of all, the Muse offers mirrors so that we can realize that the most important person we can compete with is our own self, and that all of the conquests and successes could never teach us her most important lesson: We must always see ourselves as deserving of our own highest accolades, and love.

They have been preparing for this celebration – this ascension into other ways of being – for years. They have been walking towards this since they began. One for each of the four elements, this quartet of creators sits quietly, taking in the moment. The lights have been hung… and in a few moments the moon, the sun and the stars will align. And they gaze into other’s smiles, the tears of joy begin to flood their senses. This is it. Some experience goosebumps (spiritbumps) and others feel their hearts expanding. These are the moments on the journey that important occasions are marked; when the points on the path become ingrained in our hearts and into our cellular memory. And they know that today, right now, they are living in such a moment. They reach out, hold hands, and the world drops away. The initiation begins and they feel their bubble of energy rise. They glow proudly, expectedly… and they revel in the experience of the now. They stay in this picture-perfect milestone for as long as they can, wanting to capture it in their mind’s eye, forever.

Beautiful alignment. She has amazing new ideas, lofty goals and giant dreams, and sometimes, when we dream this big it can take some shifting to get things to line up and spark to life. This time –between the first sparks of belief and seeing dreams realized – can feel frustratingly slow. Sometimes, this pause can derail belief, because it is often the moment when doubt creeps in and seeds delay. The 3 of Inspiration has been at this doorway before, manifesting and waiting. And she knows that she needs to stay true to her vision. She continues to do the work, while actively seeking the signs that her future is on the way. She dances, allowing the warm winds to move her limbs… allowing the energy to flow around her doubt. She knows that she can only perceive her immediate future, and yet she believes with her knowing heart that the dominoes are lining up beyond any limits that she can currently see. There is a pause now, as she waits for things to arrive, and she trusts that, eventually, that last domino will fall into place. Everything will begin to flow effortlessly. In the meantime, she moves and breathes and dances her dream into being.

The 2 of Inspiration sees the places she wants to travel. She begins to manifest the desire and the opportunity in her heart, and in her thoughts. She is taking the first steps, but she still has one foot cleanly rooted in her old life. She peeks her head out, which is more than some people dare to do, and she opens her heart to possibility. Sometimes it feels destined. Sometimes it feels wild. And on occasion, like today, she realizes that all the thinking and dreaming will never replace the doing. The going. So she grabs her bags, her tickets, her trinkets, her talismans and her baubles and she steps onto the path of the unseen. Her heart beats a little faster today – a little more excitedly, because she knows that taking this one step will forever change her trajectory. She has finally decided to move in the direction of her dreams.
